The life of Amelia

I have not posted here in a very long time ...or read livejournal for a long time.

The biggest news lately is that we got a second dog. I think I have most of you on my Facebook but not all of you.

We started out as foster parents through Karma Rescue but then ended up adopting her because well..she's just way too cute and sweet. Gets along great with Lucy too. Lucy wasn't too sure about her at first, gave us much stink eye but she's warming up to the fact that yes, she has a sister that will stay forever. ;)

Sunset magazine recently ran an article about all the festive holiday shopping to be had in downtown Kirkland. As I love the holidays and shopping, I decided to give it a shot!

So Anne picked me up yesterday morning, and we headed off to the east side. We had brunch at George's (eggs benedict!) and then hit up what is seriously the most awesome consignment store ever - Lindy Lu's. (I picked up a pair of Seven for All Mankind jeans for $30 (retail price: $200) - and they had clearly never been worn.)

We then spent a couple of hours wandering around the area - we visited various stores, and managed to get a few holiday purchases out of the way. All in all, it was a lot of fun - and so full of holiday spirit!
